Daisy Wings Stamp Matchables w/Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and dealing
with the heat!...whew!  Today I'm sharing something a little different
with products from

This stamp/die/stencil set is one of 4 new sets at Polkadoodles!  I have also
used the dragonfly from the Daisy Dragonfly Stamp Matchables.  These are
wonderful sets to create with!  Let me show you how I made my card.
I started by stamping my 2 images - the dragonfly and the daisy bouquet.

I used a black hybrid ink on what card stock so I could color the images
with my Copic markers.

I used very light shades on the dragonfly's wings.  For the flowers and
leaves I used bright colors.  I did not choose my background papers
beforehand so I was just using what I thought would look good for
colors.

After the coloring was finished I used a white color pencil to add more
defined highlights.

Copic Colors used:  YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67, Y02, Y08, YR24,
E97, RV52, RV06, RV19, RV69, V000, V01, V04, V06, V09,
YG91, YG95, E43,RV10, Y00, B000, BV000, B00, V12
After the coloring was finished it was time to use the stencils.  I
decided to just use one stencil on this for the flowers.  I used a
clear sparkly paste for the stenciling.  On the dragonfly I used
Stickles on just the front most wing.  I used a shimmer pen for the
rest of the dragonfly.

I chose a loose watercolor look paper in the colors of the flowers
for my background.  I really liked how it looked with the flowers.  I
also wanted to give these flowers and dragonfly room to "breathe",
so I cut the background paper to 4" x 6" and mounted it onto a
5" x 7" white card base.  Once the glitter pastes were dry I die
cut the flowers and dragonfly with the coordinating dies!

I stamped my sentiment which was 3 separate stamps from the Daisy Wings
Stamp Matchables.  I popped up the flowers and dragonfly with foam tape and I
let the flowers go over the edge of the background paper.  I liberally sprinkled
tiny iridescent gems around the flower, dragonfly and sentiment...and my
card was finished!

This card was so easy to make - especially when there are stamps,
dies and stencils!  See the complete line of Stamp Matchables at

Honeypie Spring Lambs w/Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start to the
summer months!  Today I'm sharing this adorable card made with products from

This is such an adorable image and who doesn't need a hug from some sheep!
Let me show you how I made my card and rolled with some mistakes along
the way!  Like any digital stamp, I first sized it and printed it out.

Keep in mind that I printed this out a few days ahead of time and totally
forgot that I printed it again on the other side after sizing it smaller.  I
started my coloring knowing that I wanted to use a round scallop border
die when it was done.

I basically started with all of the neutral bits - the sheep, her shoes, skin
and hair.

I liked how this was shaping up!

Before I went further, I needed to chose some patterned paper for the
background, as I wanted to color match the rest of the design to it.  I
chose my patterned paper...

I found my paper and also found my smaller version on the back of this
colored one....so I printed out the smaller image again and then continued.
I liked the soft peaches and pinks in the green background paper so I used
 that for inspiration.

Copic colors used:  W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, E31, E33, E35, E37,
E00, E11, E23, E25, E21, E93, E97, E18, RV00, RV02, G21, R00. G12
So I thought I could get away with using a warmer green tone for the
shading on her hat...nope...so I went back in with truer greens that
show in the final photos.  Once the coloring was done I die cut the
image with a round scalloped die.

I loved how the paper looked behind the image, but I had doubts about
using just that paper for the background...it seemed a bit busy.  So I cut
a 2" wide strip of it with a fancy scallop border die.  And I decided to
use a pale pink for the card base and main background piece.  I cut an
A2 size top folding card base, and then embossed a panel of the same
color that is 4" x 5 1/4".  I used a 3-D floral embossing folder on that smaller
panel.  I also die cut a sentiment from light green glitter card stock.

For added sparkle I used Stickles on the flowers and butterflies and
added some small gems around the image.  I adhered everything together using
foam tape on the center focal.  And my card was done!

I hope you enjoyed todays tutorial.  This is such an adorable sweet image.

Floral Spray - Blooming Lovely w/Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start of
summer!  Summer to me is flowers and today I'll be sharing a project
using a digital stamp from

This Blooming Lovely collection is chock full of flowers, papers and
sentiments.  Today I chose to use the Floral Spray.  I had an unexpected surprise
which I'll share in a bit.  I composed my design in the computer first.
I used one of the papers but altered the color a bit.  I use Word as a
program and it allows me to alter and tweak the colors.  Then I printed
it out onto watercolor paper.

Can you see my surprise?  It wasn't particularly sunny the day I made
this and I wasn't really paying attention when I put the paper into my
printer.  But when it was done - SURPRISE!  I had forgotten I had
bought some glitter watercolor paper!  I purchased this on Amazon.  It's
by Paul Reubens and not expensive.  It's hot press so nice and smooth.  The glitter
does not rub off and you can still see some glitter underneath the paint.
It's also a subtle glitter and you can't feel it on the paper.

There is a colored version of this in the collection and I used that as
inspiration for the color of the flowers.  I worked in layers with my
watercolors.

I worked my way around with successively darker colors making sure to
leave hard and soft edges of paint.  Then I moved onto the leaves.

After I finished with the main part of the painting I dug out my dot cards
by Iuile Paints.  I get these on Etsy and are a great alternative to having to
purchase 1/2 pans which can be pricey.

I printed the veins in the leaves and the slight veining in the flowers with
coordinating glitter colors.  I used a bit of gold in the centers of the flowers and
then I added Stickles.  I painted the butterflies with the glitter paints as
well.  Then did work with a white gel pen and a fine line black marker.

I die cut my panel after everything had dried and added tiny gems
around the flowers!  This card came out more beautiful that I was
expecting - I love that when that happens!  You can find the
