Fall Trees with Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!  Today is New Release Day over at:

This digistamp set is so graphic and different!  It really calls out for
colorizing it in a unique way.  I decided to watercolor my image!
I simply printed out my image onto Altenew 140lb 100% cotton
cold press watercolor paper.  This image is already composed for an A2 size card!

Since I have an inkjet printer, I printed this off and let it set overnight.
The next day I quickly ran my heat tool over it.  I didn't have any
problems with running or smearing ink even though it's inkjet.  I decided to
use Prima Watercolor Confections - Decadent Pies Palette to watercolor
my images.

I got this palette when Prima first came out with this line.  Therefore,
the colors don't have names in this one...just numbers.  I used all the
colors except the white, silver and the darkest blue.

All of the tree trunks were painted the same with the dark red/brown
color.  Then I started laying in color.  I didn't do anything fancy, no shading,
I did mix a few new hues.  I was mindful to really be picky about where
I painted with the blue.  It's a really strong and stands out.

I was striving to make all the trees look unique.

I was really pleased with my placement of color.  I decided to
die cut a sentiment out of black card stock.  I chose my card base
which is an A2 top folding base, and other papers.  I used a
Simon Says Stamp die for the sentiment.

All of my components were finished so it was time to put my card
together.  I used a black peel-off from Love From Lizi underneath the
sentiment so it would get lost.  I used olive green enamel dots
as an embellishment and my card was done!

I hope you enjoyed today's project.  I am in love with this color palette!
You will find inspiration all month long for wonderful designs from:

Thanks so much for taking the time to be inspired today!
