Scavenger Hunt ft. Kate Hadfield Designs

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing with you a great idea for

kids and adults – a Scavenger hunt!  These are so fun with a

group of people!  I'll be using products from

Kate Hadfield Designs

 It’s a Mystery digital stamps

I first composed my images in the computer.  I did this several times.

I sized them and rough cut them out of copy paper to make sure

they would fit in each spot.  I probably did this a total of 3 times

before I got it right.

I knew I was going to keep the coloring fairly neutral.  But I did add

the blue coat and the red accents to liven it up.

The patterned paper that I used was actually a coffee stain design pad

of paper.  I really liked how well it worked.  I die cut the base with

a postage die from some brown paper.  I didn’t think it was quite

the right shade so I ink blended it with Vintage Photo and then

Walnut Stain Distress Inks.  The squares in the dies have a

stitched detail within each section.  I die cut the patterned paper

and trimmed along those stitched lines for a perfect fit!  I inked

the edges of those pieces with the Walnut Stain before adhering them.

I was pleased as to how this came out.  I think the colors went

together well and had the right vibe.

I colored the rest of my elements and fussy cut them.  I also went

around the edges with the Walnut Stain ink.  I decided to go with

the tag that went with this set and scrawled out an invitation with

a blue acrylic pen.  I punched a hole in the top of the tag and threaded

some red twine through it.  I cut off the twine that was drawn on the tag so I

could use real twine!  All of my elements are popped up on foam tape.

I used a kraft card base to finish off this cute invitation.  This was not hard to

create and was a lot of fun working with the different elements.  I added

Glossy Accents to the magnifying glass and the dog’s nose and a few

highlights with a white gel pen.  If you try this idea we would love to see

it!  Tag us on social media!  You can find this digital stamp set and
