Wonderfully Collection Blog Hop with Joy Clair Designs

This is a simple yet gorgeous set with so many possibilities!  I am

a huge fan of leaves so I knew I would be using those beautiful

maple leaves in my project!  I composed my card in the computer

and printed it out onto 140lb cold press watercolor paper by Altenew.

I did change the color of the leaves to brown so they wouldn't

be so stark black.

For the painting I decided to use my Altenew Watercolor Pencils.  These

are woodless and come in 24 colors.  I chose a fall palette to work with.

I brought my paintbrush to the pencil and picked up color that way instead

of coloring on the paper first.

I have an ink jet printer, so I was mindful of the black lettering and

was careful not to flood any of those areas with water.

All of the leaves have more than one color, some have 3 and some

have 4 in a few places.

The colors I used were: Shadow Creek, Maple Yellow, Heartbeat,

Orange Cream, Oolong Tea, Fresh Lemon, Crimson, Rubellite and Moss.

I had cut my panel to 3 3/4" x 5" before starting to paint.  When

the painting was dry I mounted it onto a panel of deep cranberry

card stock that measures 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".  I took a white side folded

white card base and turned it so the fold was at the top.  I adhered

a piece of patterned paper from my stash that measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".

I added some gold peel-offs to my painted panel and added some glitter enamel

 dots and that finished my project!
