Prehistoric Party with Brutus Monroe

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a new stamp set that's found in the

It's called Prehistoric Party.  Isn't that Dino just so cute!!!!  Let me show you
how I made my mini slimline card!

I started this project by picking out the papers.  I thought about making my own
background with Copics.  And I could have, but this piece of background paper
is from the Mermaid Lagoon Paper Collection.  I think it's supposed to be an
underwater scene, but I thought it worked great for a prehistoric landscape!

The other paper that I actually covered the entire card base with was
a sand color with some darker splatter on it.  I had it in my stash and it
was very thin.  But it worked great for this card.  Next I stamped the
volcano and one of the dinos from the stamp set onto some Neenah
80lb. Classic Crest Solar White card stock, as I was going to color
the images with Copics.

I kept the coloring quite simple.

I used a dotting technique on the lava bits.

Of course my dino was green, I added bits of orange to tie in
with the volcano colors.
Copic Colors used:
W0, W1, W5, W6, W7, W8
E33, 100,  YG91
Y06, Y15, Y38, R17
YG00, YG01, YG03, YR18

I used Orange Ice and Mystic Green Stickles.  I adhered the dino
and the volcano to my card with foam tape.  I colored the sentiment and adhered that
diagonally across the top. I added sequins to the background and
shimmer pen to the volcano top and the dino.

And that finished my sweet little dino card!  I hope you've enjoyed
enjoyed this playful little card.  You will find this stamp set in

Thanks so much for taking the time to be here today!  I appreciate
your interest and I hope I've inspired you!
