Sweet Hearts with Brutus Monroe

Hello everyone!  Today I get to share one of the new subscription
products from:

Sweet Valentine Stamp Set

This stamp set is just awesome!  It definitely has a 1950's sweet shop
feel to it.  There are sentiments and other images as well.  Today I's used the
main image from the set.

I first stamped out the image and then die cut it with a large stitched oval die.
I also stamped out a few other images, but in the end did not use them.

I colored the image with Copic markers keeping things quite
simple using only 2-color blends.

I also decided to color in the space just outside the stitch line with my
black marker to give the piece some definition.

Copic markers used:

Red:  R17, R37, R89
Skin:  E53, Cheeks:  R20
Hair:  YR15, E08 and Y11, YR31
Blue Green:  BG000, BG01
Blue: B93, B95, B97
Grays:  C1, C2, C3, 100

Once the coloring was complete I took a black waterbased marker and went
around the edge of the oval panel.  My base is a A2 size top folding white card
base to which I adhered red card stock that measures 4" x 5 1/2".  On either
side of the red panel I added a thin black sparkle peel-off.  I adhered my oval
panel to the card using foam tape.  I die cut 3 sizes of hearts out of the same
red card stock as the red panel and adhered them to the card and then added
Glossy Accents over them.  I added shimmer pen to the candies in the jars and
the cherry on the ice cream and my card was done!

I love the vibe of this card so much!  It was fun to color and create with!
