Stamp of the Month with Brutus Monroe

Hello everyone!  Today I'm bringing you this adorable snowman
card using:

The Stamp of the Month for December 2020 is so cute!  Let me
show you how I made my mini-slimline card!

I wanted to make my background using the metallic Aqua Pigments.
I used a piece of Strathmore Hot Press watercolor paper that measured
5" x 7" (available on Amazon in a 25 pk).  I tape it to a piece of
hardboard (also from Amazon) with low tack painter's tape.  Using a
sideways motion I brushed on the Aqua Pigments.

For the snow on the bottom I used Pearl Aqua Pigment overlaid with
Blue Frost Aqua Pigment.  For the Top part I used Periwinkle and Iris Aqua
Pigments.  I set this aside to dry completely.  I used a scrap of glitter
card stock in white to die cut snowflakes using the Snowflakes Die Set,
and fuchsia to die cut the "Hello" sentiment from the Slimline Sentimental
Die Set.  I later decided not to use either of these sentiments.

Next, using Raven Detail Ink I stamped my snowman out onto a scrap of
the same watercolor paper.

I painted my snowman with the Aqua Pigments.  I used the Periwinkle
and Iris for the hat, the Pearl and Blue Frost for the body Periwinkle mixed
with Pearl for shading.  For the hat edging and pom pom I used the Blue Frost. I
used Amber for the carrot nose and Shimmering Gingerbread for the arms.

When it was dry, I fussy cut my image.  I used a fine point black Sharpie
on the eyes and buttons to make them really stand out.
I cut my main panel down to 6 1/8" x 2 7/8" and adhered it onto a
6 1/4" x 3" side folding white card base.  This is the size I use for my
mini-slimline cards.  They fit nicely into the envelopes made with the
die from Trinity Stamps.

It was time to assemble my card.  I first adhered my snowman onto the card
with foam tape.  Next I adhered my snowflakes.  I did let a few of them go off
the side and then trimmed the overhang off.  Next I adhered my sentiment.  I
die cut another Hello sentiment using Color Companion Glitterstock
in Periwinkle.  I adhered the letters on a bit wonky.  I adhered a gemstone in
the middle of each snowflake.  Then, using Star Dust Stickles, I went along the
horizon line, under the snowman's feet, on the snowman's hat edging and pom pom,
and random dots in the sky.  And that finished my card!

Also, so as not to waste the leftovers of the background with the beautiful
Aqua Pigments, I made a background using scraps.  I recently watched a
video by Jennifer McGuire and knew I didn't want the scraps to go to waste!

So pretty!!!!!  Can't wait to use these in a project!
