Hello everyone! Today's project with Brutus Monroe is a bit different - I made a
bookmark kit! So easy to do!!!!
Brutus Monroe Products used:
I started my project by cutting panel to stamp the locker image on. These
measure 2" x 6". I stamped the locker image on each panel with Raven
Detail Ink.
Next, with a craft knife, I cut along the inner edges of the lockers leaving the left uncut so it could be folded open. These were very easy to cut.
Next I took a half sheet of white card stock and stamped out my images with Raven Detail Ink.
I admit, I did fussy cut these out. It only took about 15 min as these images are very easy to cut. Next, with my envelope maker, I made a small 2 1/2" x 3 1/3" envelope to contain all the little images. All of the images have pieces of Double Sided Tissue Tape on the backside.
I backed each of the locker panels with another piece of white card stock. This gives a surface for sticking the images inside and also gives more stability to the bookmark. I punched a 3/16" hole in the top of each one and also included bakers twine in the kit.
And lastly, I wrote a little poem (please feel free to copy) to be included in the kit so it could be given as a gift. I printed it out onto notebook paper.
With a nice box of pens/markers/colored pencils, this is complete to give as a gift. An adorable bigger envelope could be decorated with stamped & colored images for an adorable presentation!
I hope you enjoyed today's project! This was so different for me to create but I love how
it turned out! I did have a creative mentor for this project - my 11 year old granddaughter!
She loves this kit!
