Fall Coffee Joy with Brutus Monroe

Hello Brutus Monroe fans!  Since we're all on a coffee theme this week I decided to make a coffee themed card!  I used a variety of products carried at www.Brutus Monroe.com.  Let me show you how I made my card!

I stamped out my images using the Cozy Coffee Stamp Set and the Autumn Essential
Stamp Set onto Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White card stock with Raven Detail
ink.  I chose my paper from the Autumn Foliage Paper Pad and also decided to use
one of the new Felt Doilies in Wheat.  I chose to color my images using Copic
markers.  After coloring them I fussy cut them out (not realizing there's a cut file!).

Copic colors used:

Leaves & Stems:  BG11, BG93, BG96  Glaze:  G00
White Pumpkin:  W1, W2, BG93
Orange Pumpkin:  Y38, YR16, YR18
Coffee Cup:  E21, E31, E33  Lid:  W1
Buttons:  E31, E33, E35, E37
Sweater:  Y11, Y21, Y17

I prepared a top folding A2 size card base from Whitewash card stock.  I cut my
patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to the base.  Before adhering the doily
I trimmed off about 3/8" off the left side and adhered that down to the center left
of my card.  I only put glue on the solid middle part.  The felt is nice and sturdy
and I knew it would be ok not to glue it down.

Next I stamped my sentiment on Whitewash card stock using the new Collab stamp set
Simple Strips - Crafty!  This is a crafty collab with Taylored Expressions and Brutus Monroe.  If
you are not familiar with these sets - there are 18 sentiments!  One stamp - one die!  So
handy!  And Taylored Expressions now sells a container with trays that holds all the
sentiments!
I cut a piece of card stock 4 3/4" x 6".  That fits exactly into my Mini Misty.  The stamp
also fits exactly into it!  I stamped with Raven Detail Ink.

The black squares on either side are so there to line up the die.  After die cutting the
sentiments I put them away in my handy container and kept out the one I wanted to use.
I arranged my images in the center of the doily.  I did not use foam tape, but just adhered
everything flat.  I used a liquid glue for this.  After coloring in the little heart on the
sentiment I adhered it across the bottom of the doily and just need a bit of foam tape
on the right side.  And my project was done!

This was so much fun to make!  So many products from Brutus Monroe!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope I've inspired you
to create your own Autumn Coffee card!
