Cup of Joe
This is another fabulous design from Rachel! My card for this is really working with the patterned paper I chose. It's called Coffee Lovers from Unity Stamp Company. To begin, I laid out my design in the computer. I used a standard shape and then dropped in my sentiment twice. I then cropped each of the sentiments...one for each half and then placed them within the heart shape.
I splattered the image with brown watercolor and then cut it out leaving a very narrow
border outside the line. I made my card base out of the same kraft card stock and made it
into a side folding A2 size and then cut a panel of the patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4".
It was looking a bit plain around the edges, so I added dark brown mirror peel-offs from
Love From Lizi. Just that very narrow band of brown just sets off that panel.
Before adding my stamped image I decided to add a few coffee beans. I have a small
cluster of beans stamp in my stash so I stamped that several times on my heart.
I colored them in with a Copic marker - E37.
I adhered my heart panel to the right hand side of the card, off-setting it about 1/4". I
trimmed off the excess and my card was done!
This was such an easy card to make. I love letting the patterned paper really project
my image!
