Fun Flowers Slimline with Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a New Release at:

Rachel Vass Designs

Fun Flowers Slimline

This is a real beauty!  Nice white on black sentiments, various compositions of
the floral design and a no-line version!
I decided to watercolor mine.  Let me show you how I did that!
I first made my composition in my computer complete with the sentiment.
Next I printed it out onto 140lb watercolor paper by Fabriano.  This comes in a
thick pad and is very economical.  My printer is an HP inkjet.  But I have found
that I don't have a problem with the ink bleeding either with water or alcohol.

I trimmed the piece to a workable size.  I will later trim it down further once the painting
is done.  I started watercoloring my piece pretty much one petal at a time.  I find this so
relaxing that I don't mind that it takes a while to do.

I used a palette of yellows, golds, reds, oranges and purples.  I mixed colors together to
come up with new colors just so no flower would be exactly the same as another.

Once I had finished painting the flowers, I used a thin wash of Lemon Yellow and
painted the background.  I let it dry and then adhered it to a slimline card base
made of yellow card stock.  I didn't add any embellishments.  So, my card was
finished at this point!  So easy!
