Summer Fruit Background Border with Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is doing well.  It's New Release Day at

This is such a great summer design!  Let me show you how I
created my colorful version!

I composed and then printed my design on Stonehenge White which is a
smooth paper with a weight of about 95 lbs.  This paper is excellent for
colored pencil work.  My panel measures 4 1/4" x 3 1/4".
I started coloring my image with Prisma Colored Pencils.

I wanted my images to be very colorful and I used lots of colors!
Blueberries: 1087, 133, 208, 933, 944

Orange Slice: 914, 918, 921

Lime Slice:  1089. 989, 913
Strawberries: 1004, 913, 109, 923

Blackberries:  1030, 996, 1078
Raspberries:  994, 195, 930, 1029
Apples:  989, 913, 1093
Apricots:  940, 1034, 1003, 1032, 1014
Plums:  989, 912, 120, 956, 996, 1008, 934
Background:  140

After the coloring was done, I trimmed my panel down and backed it with
some black card stock and left a narrow edge showing.  I used an A2 size white card
base that was folded in half and I adhered my background paper to cover it
completely.  This paper is from the Rainbows paper pack from Whimsy Stamps.
As a bit of embellishment, I adhered tiny iridescent flowers all over.
And my card was completed!

I hope you enjoyed today's project!  It was fun to color and it's  nice
way to tell a friend you are missing them!

  1. This is gorgeous! So bright and vibrant! I actually thought that you had made the background paper yourself....it goes so perfectly with it! I may need that paper myself.
