Summer Border with Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing the newest release from

This set is so pretty and although it's designed for a slimline card, you could
easily use it for other sizes as well!

To begin I composed and printed out my image onto Neenah 80lb. Classic
Crest Solar White card stock.  I didn't do any sizing of the flower image.
It's all sized for a slimline card.  I placed the sentiment on the bottom
center of the card.

I decided I wanted to use my Faber-Castel Polychromos colored pencils for
this one.  I used many colors!

I googled "summer bouquet" to find a nice summer color palette.

Colors used (by number):

Greens:  168, 278, 170, 163. 159, 109, 205
Yellow:  205, 102, 105, 108
Black:  60
Purple:  36, 249
Pink:  129, 128, 123, 133, 194, 150
Orchid:  119, 134, 135, 133
Blue:  146, 120
Orange: 109. 113. 117. 192
Background: 154

I really took my time coloring.  It was really quite relaxing because I
wasn't in a hurry!

Once I was finished with the coloring, I die cut the image using dies from
Studio Katia.  I used the scalloped eyelet for the main image and then used
the coordinating straight dot die for the plum background piece.  Another
reason I love slimline cards - I get to use all that 12 x 12 paper I have!!!
I added these layers to my slimline base which measures
8 3/4" x 3 3/4".  I added a few iridescent gems and my card was done!

I hope you enjoyed today's slimline card project!
