Hello everyone! Today I'm bringing you more inspiration for
I'm using: Roses #782J
To begin, I composed my image and sentiment and printed it out onto
Neenah 80b Classic Crest Cream card stock.
I trimmed the image just a little and started the coloring of the flowers.
I used Copic markers to color this with and I wanted a peachy look to
the roses. That was why I chose the use the Cream card stock instead of white.
Copic colors for the leaves:
YG91, YG63, YG67, R02 for tips and edges
Stems: YG91, W5, W7
Roses: E93, R00, R02, R05, Glaze with RV00
Shadow around right side of image: W1
Once my coloring was finished, I decided to add interest to the background by
stamping it with a script background stamp. The ink I used was a dye ink in a
very pale peachy color.
What ink was on the image itself translated as a texture rather than script. I then
cut my colored panel down to 4" x 5 1/4" and lightly chalked the edges. Next
I chose my background paper which was a textured metallic green.
Although the green of this metallic textured paper is a cool green, and the
colored image has warm greens, it stilled worked well color-wise.
I mounted the colored panel onto the textured panel with a liquid glue and
then mounted the that onto an A2 size cream card base.
As a final embellishment I added a few very small clear acrylic drops.
And that finished my project!
