August 2020 Challenge with Jan's Digistamps Challenges

Hello everyone!  Today is the start of a new challenge at:

First I composed and printed out my images.  I sized the bouquet to be
quite large, as I knew I only wanted part of it.

I drew pencil lines on 2 sides so I would know where to color and cut.  I used
Copic Markers for all of the coloring.

Copic Markers used:

Pinks:  RV21, RV34, RV13, RV02
Greens:  G000, G00, G14, BG13
YG11, YG63, YG67

I also lightly shaded the ends of the sentiment after I die cut it using
a stitched banner die.  I fussy cut the floral image.  I cut a piece of
background paper to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"...this would leave me a
very narrow white border around my A2 size top folding white card base.

I adhered my patterned paper to the base of my card and then I adhered the
colored image and the sentiment with foam tape.  I added a few
iridescent gems and my card was done!

This could be a wedding card or an anniversary card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I appreciate you!

  1. Betsy, once again I am so impressed! I looked at this set and was disappointed it was in a bouquet, and I immediately dismissed it. You had the sense to think outside the box, and see that it could be so much more!!! This turned out gorgeous and I'm now adding this image to my cart. I often find the small scale of some of the florals hard to work with, but I must remember that I can enlarge and crop the image! Well done 😊

    1. Hi Karen - I really liked this image, but the way I used it I thought it would be more versatile...like you could use it for much more than wedding card!...which I didn't need. That's what I love about digistamps...make it whatever size you need!!!!

  2. Wow Betsy, your tutorial is impressive. I never think of taking pictures while I'm crafting. Your card is so pretty. Like Karen said, good idea to enlarge it! I would not have thought of it, I always stick to somewhat similar sizes.

    1. Thanks Mel - I didn't want it to be a wedding card and a bouquet says wedding to me! trying to think outside the box! :)
