Summer Bloom with Rachel Vass Designs

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing this gorgeous new release from

Let me show you how I made this slim line card!
I first printed out my flowers and sentiment.  The sentiment was from
the Springtime Background set.  My flowers were sized to about 2 1/2".
Then I colored my them with Copic markers.

I used 4 colors: R46, R39, R59, R89.  These colors blend beautifully!

Next I fussy cut them leaving a very small white outline.  I cut out my sentiment
leaving a bigger white outline.  My card base is 3 1/2" x 8 1/2".  I cut a piece
of patterned paper that was 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" and backed it with black card stock
leaving a very narrow amount showing.

I adhered the patterned paper piece to my base and then adhered the flowers.  I
adhered the top and bottom flower flat and the middle flower, which was just
overlapping the other 2, I popped up on foam tape.  Then I adhered my
sentiment with just a little foam tape on the left side and glue where it sits
on the flower.  I didn't think this card needed any embellishing!

I hope you enjoyed today's project!  Although the background paper is
busy, the overall effect of this card is clean and simple!  I made a matching
envelope out of coordinating paper!
