Gold & Blue Mandala

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a
Topflight Stamps design team project using:

For the Love of Stamps: Precious Jewels

I love this stamp set and all the possibilities in using it.  I decided to first cut a panel of black card to 4" x 5 1/4" and gold heat embossed the mandala.  I used a detailed embossing powder from Love From Lizi called Golden Crown.  When it was cool I started coloring the image with Prisma Color Pencils:

I started in the middle and worked my way out.  There are several places with no color at all.  There were only a few places where I used all 6 colors with most areas using a 2-5 color blend.

I covered a white A2 size card base with some blue shimmer paper and trimmed out 2 very narrow strips of the same paper and adhered them to the bottom of the black colored panel with a gold strip in between the blue ones.  I then adhered the black panel onto the card base.  I added a small round gold sticker to the center and a small iridescent blue jewel for added bling.  And that finished my card!

I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial.
