Lovely Bouquet with Pajama Crafter Stamps

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be on a new design team and my goal is to inspire you to create! For my first project with

Pajama Crafter Stamps

I've used the Lovely Bouquet Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Blue Without You BlueBonnets Stamp Set. My vision was to create a very soft watercolor. Let me show you how I created my card!

I heat embossed my image on watercolor paper using a white pearl embossing powder. My watercolor paper was cut to 5" x 7". My plan was to cut it down after I finished painting.

I wanted to use my Gansai Tambi watercolors for this project. Although they can be quite opaque, I felt if I used enough water I could achieve the softness that I was after. I used some of the colors from the 36 set and some colors from the Vintage palette.

I gave things an initial wash of very pale color. You can see in the pink flower how the edges of the petals look white, but they are, in fact, painted a pale pink. After the initial wash was dry, I added more water to an area and started laying in more color.

I kept adding deeper colors until I was happy with the result. I used 5 or 6 colors on the leaves. I added pink to some of them and some yellow, but still trying to retain the softness.

I was really pleased with my end result. You could use Gansai Tambi paints or any watercolor you currently own. You could even use watercolor pencils. After the watercolor was dry, I trimmed my panel to 4" x 6".

Trimming the panel before stamping the sentiment helped me with placement. I used a detail gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Before adhering the panel to the card, I used a shimmer gold ink pad and went along the edges of my panel. This gives a hint of gold around the edges that is not overpowering.

At this point, I made my 5" x 7" base. I covered it with a soft olive green card stock, then a piece of gold mirror card stock, then another piece of soft olive. The panels were successively smaller. This really gave the base a touch of elegance that would enhance my painted panel.

I adhered my painted panel to the card base with foam tape. This really helped make the gold edging stand out. I added small gold dots of contour liner. You could use anything, gems, pearls, Stickles, crystal drops or whatever you have. I kept mine really small.

I was quite pleased with how this project turned out. I hope I've inspired you to give this a try! This definitely won't be my last watercolored project here, so keep in touch and I'll be giving you more projects to inspire your creativity!  You can find this beautiful stamp set and many others at
