Hello everyone! Hope you are pushing through the intense heat we all seem to be
gripped in. If you live in a cooler place...so glad for you! Today I'm bringing you
a sweet summer card with products from
It was definitely fun doing something a bit different with the stencil! Let me show you how
I made my card! I first cut a 5 3/4" square of Buttercream card stock. Using my Stick &
Stamp Mat and Yellow Chroma Glaze I stenciled on my first layer of Strawberry Seeds.
Once that was very dry, I stenciled on another layer using Pink Chroma Glaze shifting the
stencil down and to the right.
Once that was dry I stenciled it for the 3rd time using Green Chroma Glaze shifting the
stencil so it was vertically between the pink and yellow.
Next it was time to make my elements. I wanted to use a butterfly from the
Magical Monarch Stamp Set. I chose the bigger one. I smeared on Green Chroma Glaze
onto a scrap of Buttercream card stock and left it to dry. From that I cut out the
butterfly. Using the shadow die I cut a piece of iridescent vellum. I would totally
change my mind on the butterfly but for now that's what it was. I decided to use a
piece of pink card stock to go between my stenciled piece and the Buttercream
card stock base. On another scrap of Buttercream I stamp the tulip design from
the Magical Monarch Stamp Set with some medium yellow ink. I stamped the
image twice and colored them with Copic Markers. I used: Y02, Y08, Y15,
YG11, YG23, YG63, RV13, RV06. I also heat embossed my sentiment with pink sparkly
embossing powder and die cut them.
I now had all of the parts for my card.
You'll see here the appearance of a pink butterfly instead of the green one. I
could not make the green butterfly work - at all! So again I smeared
Chroma Glaze onto a scrap of Buttercream - this time Pink - and let it dry. Then I
hot foiled some of the Magical Shattered Glass Foil over it. Then I die
cut it with the smaller butterfly die from the Magical Monarch Die Set. I adhered
my 2 sets of tulips that I had colored. I cut a leaf off of one and entwined them
a bit. I adhered my layers together and I popped up all my elements on foam tape.
I only placed foam tape in the middle of the butterfly. I used some peachy/pink
confetti as my only embellishment. And that finished my card!
This was so fun to create using the stencil to create a bright background! You

Thank you guys so much for stopping by! I hope I've inspired you!
