Refresh The Soul with Joy Clair Designs

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a beautiful Sympathy card made with the new release of

Joy Clair Designs

Refresh the Soul Digital Stamp Set

The Lily image is so beautiful and I wanted to feature it on my card today.  Let me show you how I made my card!   I first composed my images in my computer.  I used the same image twice - once as it is and then I made it smaller and flipped it horizontally and put the 2 together.

I cut around the images loosely, as I was going to fussy cut the lily image and die cut the sentiment.  I used Copic markers to color my image.

I really wanted to keep my colors soft.  I used 3 or 4-way blends on both the pink flowers and the green leaves and stems.

After the coloring was finished I fussy cut the image.  Copic colors used were: RV000, R81, R83, R85, YG111, YG63, YG67.   I next moved on to prepare my base.  I used a standard white A2 size top folding card base.  Using a scalloped rectangle die, I die cut a light gray panel.  Next I cut a white stitched rectangle panel and stenciled it with light gray ink.

I adhered the gray die cut panel flat to the card base.  I backed the stenciled panel with double-sided adhesive backed foam and centered it on the gray panel.

Next I die cut my sentiment with a stitched rectangle die.  When I placed it on my panel it was a bit too long, so I cut the left side off and adhered it along the stitch line of the stenciled panel.  I popped up my lily image with left overs of foam.  As a final embellishment, I used iridescent confetti in a few places.  I also used a Pentel Sparkle Pop pen in black - it goes on black but dries a deep pink which matched perfectly!  And that finished my card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope I've inspired you to make something beautiful!  You can find this digital stamp set and other from this release at
