Picked Patch - Take #2 with Brutus Monroe

Hello everyone!  Today I'm bringing you another creation using:

I love this stamp!  For this card I decided to cut away part of it!  I wanted
to be able to use my favorite fall palette...gold, orange, and violet.  Because
Picked Patch is a 6" x 6" stamp I went with making a 5" x 7" card.  A bit
unusual for me but I had the idea in my head!  Let me show you how I
made my card.
I first cut my panels and card base.  I used Neenah Cream card stock.  I
cut the card base - 5" x 7" and I cut an inner panel for the ink blending
that was 4" x 6".  I stamped my Picked Patch image onto Neenah 80lb.
Classic Crest Solar White.

I decided to do my ink blending first.  Being aware of where my
pumpkins were going to be placed, I started my ink blending about 1/3
of the way up the 4" x 6" panel.  I kept the angle of the blend from
the right to left side at a slant.

The color of Distress Oxide that I used: Mustard Seed, Spiced
Marmalade and Seedless Preserves.  I set that aside to dry and
colored my pumpkins  with my Copic Markers.

I realized that I could use a blend that was very similar to the Distress
Oxide blend...using a deep violet for my darkest tones.

Copic Colors used:
Blender
Y08, Y15, Y17, YR97, R37, RV69
YG91, YG95, W7
I fussy cut my pumpkins and trimmed it up so it fit across
the bottom of the 4" x 6" panel.  I ran a black marker along
the top edges of the pumpkins and the RV69 Copic marker
along the sides and bottom edges.
Next I applied Lemon Drop Glitter Glaze to the lighter
parts of the pumpkins.  I applied it with a point Q-tip.  These
pointy Q-tips were a game changer!  Made the application of
the Glitter Glaze so easy.

This is how the Glitter Glaze looks when its wet.  I set this aside
to dry.  By this time, my inked panel was dry so it was time to
stencil on some Glitter Glaze.  Unfortunately I forgot to take a
photo of it...sorry!  I used the Floral Compass Stencil and
3 colors of Glitter Glaze - Lemon Drop, Marmalade and Ember
Glow.  I applied it in sections and then did an upward blend.  I
have to say that when it was wet, I thought I had ruined my card.
Things looked pretty murky.  😬. I set it aside to dry and worked
on my card base.  I covered the base with orange card stock and
then added red violet and violet panels that were 1/4" smaller.

Once all the Glitter Glaze was completely dry, (the stenciled panel when
dry came out so beautiful!!! - whew!), I adhered the
stenciled panel onto a piece of black card stock that was 1/4"
bigger.  Then I adhered that to the base.  I popped up my
pumkin panel with foam tape.  I added a Simple Strip
for my sentiment and some yellow, orange and violet gems
to complete this stunning card!

I hope you enjoyed today's project.  I just love how it came out.
Fall cards are my favorite because the colors are so rich and saturated!
