Farmhouse Friends with Brutus Monroe!

Hello Brutus Monroe fans!  Hope your summer has been fun so far with all
of the easing up and places re-opening.  Today I'm bringing you this fun card using:

Farmhouse Friends - 6x8 Stamp

Isn't this stamp set so cute!  And the sentiments!
Let me show you how I made my card.

This card kept evolving as I was making it!  Originally I was going to make a
shaker card because the die I used just screamed SHAKER!  But then I realized
that most of my images would be covering up the openings and the shaker bits
really wouldn't show.  So, I just went for more depth instead.
First, I die cut my frame for my slimline card using some paper with barnboards
on it.  I made sure they were vertical.

Next I took a panel of white card stock the same size as my die cut and using a stencil
made clouds pretty much all the way down the panel.  I kept these quite pale as I didn't
want them to overpower the rest of the card.  I foam taped the die cut panel onto the
stenciled panel.

Then it was time for my images.  I used Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink
as I was going to use Copic Markers for coloring them and this ink is perfect.

I ended up not using all of the animals, but had them stamped just in case!
Next, I colored them in and then fussy cut them out.

Copic colors used:

Red:  R17, R27, R59, R000, R00, R11
Orange:  R02, YR07, YR16, E15
Green:  YG03, YG09, G07
Warm Grey:  W1, W2, W3, W5, W7
Cool Grey:  C0, C2, C3, C5, C7
Yellow:  Y02, Y21, Y06, Y28
Black & Blender

I used a grass die - both a straight one and a curved one.  I used the straight
one to cut a strip for the grass at the bottom and a curved one to use upside down
for the nests.

I adhered the straight green one to the bottom of the barn and then
adhered the barn to the card.  I adhered the the little piglet with foam tape.
I inked the edges of the nest pieces and adhered them into place.

Then I adhered the chickens into place.  I made the sign from one of the
evacuated pieces of the die cut barn board and heat embossed in white
my sentiment.  I used Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder for this.
I adhered a piece of twine on the back and put it above the barn - crooked -
with one of the chickens bouncing on it!
As a last bit of embellishment, I added some brown sequin flakes on all of the
hay.  That was messy!!!!!  And that finished my card!

I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial.  This stamp set is so cute.  I might just
have to make a card with the pigs!
