Die, Stamp & Stencil of the Month with Brutus Monroe

Hello everyone!  Today's tutorial is making a card with the Die, Stamp and

Let's get started.  I began by preparing a panel for the Butterfly Cover Die.  I
used Strathmore Bristol card and ink smooshing with oxide inks in colors that would
match my back ground paper.  I did this in layers - drying between each one
until I got the effect I desired.  I set that off to the side to dry.

Next I took my piece of patterned paper that I had chosen and senciled it with one
of the colors of oxide inks that I used for ink smooshing.

I next heat embossed in white the 3 butterflies from the Stamp of the Month onto
some pearlized vellum.  I fussy cut those out and colored on the backs of them
using 2 different colors of Copics that matched my papers.

I next die cut my ink smooshed panel.

I cut this directly down the middle and then cut around 4 connected butterflies making
a panel for each side.

Next I assembled everything I needed to put my card together.  I had an A2
size top folding white card base, a panel of blue paper that was 4" x 5 1/4",
I middle panel of plain patterned paper, 2 die cut strips of the blue paper, the
ink smooshed butterfly panels peel-offs and my vellum butterflies.

First the solid blue panel was adhered.  Next the butterflies with some space in between.
Then the center panel to which the blue die cut panel was adhered behind so just the
decorative edges showed.  Then the peel-offs along each side.  Then the patterned
paper panel.  And lastly, the butterflies.
For added sparkle and shine I used a shimmer pen on the die cut butterflies and on
the wings of the vellum butterflies.  I used glitter glue on the bodies of the vellum
butterflies and on the antennae of the die cut ones.  And I adhered some clear
rainbow gems to the heads and antennae of the vellum butterflies.
And that completed my card!!!
