The Softness of Deer Wood

Hello everyone!  I hope you're having a great week.  This is a post for a design team
project for Topflight Stamps.  The stamp is from IndigoBlu and it's called "Deer Wood".

This is such a simple and elegant stamp.  It has a softness to it that I thought would be perfect
for a card for the new year.  Where did 2019 go?

To start I cut my main panel of patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4".  I then stamped my images
onto it with a medium gray ink.  I also die cut my numbers from more of the paper pad.

I felt the ink was a little pale so I went over the deer and trunks of the trees with a darker
gray colored pencil defining the edges as I went along.  Then with a slate gray colored pencil
I added shadows under the deer and the trees.

Next, I inked the edges of the panel and set it aside to dry.  I took an A2 size top folding white card base and covered it with a blue/black glitter paper.  Then I adhered my prepared panel.  Then
I added my die cut 2020 to the front of my card.  I then sprayed the front of the card with
iridescent glitter spray, and my card was finished!
