Take The Path Less Travelled

Today I'm bringing you a card featuring a stamp by

Studio Light: Art By Marlene - Little Ladies

I started my project by using the stencil on a 4" x 5 1/2" white card panel with Metallic Gilding Paste in Golden Olive by Creative Expressions.  Once that dried, I stamped the decorative elements using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and on another panel of white card stock I also stamped my little lady.  I used Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White.

Next I colored my stamped image with Copic markers.  

Skin:  E33, E35, BV02  Cheeks:  E04

Hair:  B63, C5, C7, 100

Eyes:  BV000. BV02. BV13, BV17  Lids:  BV000  Shading on Eyes: C3, C7

Lips: E04, RV34

Wings:  BV02, BV13

Dress:  YG63, BV13

Stockings: BV000, BV02, BV13

Shoes:  100, C2

Headband:  YG63   Feather:  YG63, BV02

After coloring and adding Liquid Fairy Dust to her wings, I fussy cut her out.  I thought the wings looked a bit bare, so I doodled in them with a black fine liner and added little dots with the liner and a white gel pen.

I decided that the stenciled background was too busy to be a full panel, so I die cut it with a 3 1/2"

circle die and that really let the focus be on the Little Lady.

Next I prepared my base.  I used a white top folding A2 size card base.  I covered it with a specialty paper that had some shimmer and lots of texture.  I used a sentiment from the Studio Light stamp set and heat embossed it with white.  My paper was so textured that the ink skipped places.

No worries!  I filled in what was missing with my white gel pen.

Next I assembled my card.  I first adhered the 3 1/2" stenciled circle piece.  Then I adhered my Little Lady on foam tape.  I added a few carefully placed gems from ScraPerfect and that finished my card!
