Hello everyone! School is back in session where I live. Time
to make sure everyone has everything they need! The products
I'll be using are from
Weekend at Home Digital Papers
This was fun to make and every little one needs to
have a back to school card to cheer them on! Let me show you
how I made my card.
I didn’t take many photos – really only 2 process photos. That’s
because this card started out with a different color of background.
I use Microsoft Word as a program so I was able to change the
color of the background to blue and start again, but forgot to take
photos as I went along 😟. I laid out my elements
like this on the first card so I simply printed it again on this blue
background.
I kept my coloring very simple as I knew there would be a fair amount
of colors used so not a lot of shading. It didn’t take too long. I also colored and the die cut
my sentiment. Once the coloring was done, I die cut the panel and mounted it onto
an A2 side-folding white card base. I added some hearts and stars
sequins to the notebook, I added silver gel pen to the ferrule of the paintbrush, the
bit on the end of the pencil, the zips and clasps on the backpack and the
tiny screws on the scissors and the pencil sharpener. I used Glossy Accents
on the paints in the palette, the crayon emblem on the crayon and the
box, the blades to the scissors, the pencil, paintbrush and crayon. The
last bit of embellishment. I used tiny black letters scattered in the background
and I also used them on the backpack. I used a white gel pen to
add high-lights and that finished my card!
This was a fun card to put together and to color! So many ways you could
make this your own as there are so many images in each set! You can find
