Hello everyone! We are in the thick of summer and one way to cool down is to be
in the water! I made my project using products from
Little Swimmers Digital Stamp Set
This is too cute and there are so many images to choose from. Let me show you
how I made my card.
This card had me going in circles! This is the original composition that I printed.
I really didn’t like it…I’m not sure why, but it just wasn’t working for me.
Despite that, I colored the images anyway. Then I decided I didn’t like the background
so I fussy cut the little swimmers and die cut an oval that matched a different background
panel. I really didn’t like that either!
I left it for a bit and then I went back to the computer. I decided to
change the color of the background so it was bluer and do the faded soft edges which
normally I do that for my winter cards but I liked it for this as well. I left the images
of the swimmers there and decided to layer them with my colored version.
Finally I had a version I liked. I had added a few fishes from the Under the Sea
Stamp Set. I printed it out and also did the sentiment in a color and size that went with
the card. I die cut the panel with an A2 size rectangle die. I popped up my swimmers on
foam tape. I did the same with the sentiment after fussy cutting it out. I added shimmer
pen to the fishes. Next I added stickles for water lines and once that was dry I added
white Nuvo Drops. I finished by adding a bit of white gel pen and I used Glossy
Accents for water drops.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s tutorial. Let me know if indecision has ever effected you and your card making!
