Spring Chicks ft. Kate Hadfield Designs

Hello everyone!  Spring is here and these little chicks are happy!  Today
I'll be sharing how I made this card using products from

These little chicks are so cute jumping up and down because spring is
finally here.  Let me show you how I made my card.   I first composed my
design and placed it onto the digital paper and then printed it out onto
white card stock.  For the background paper I blurred the edges and also
made the color more vibrant.

I die cut the panel before coloring.  It gives me a better idea of where
the boundaries are and the overall look of the panel.  The coloring was
quite easy and not too intense.  I chose 3 pretty spring colors to color my
chicks with but had not yet picked out my background paper.

I was careful in my coloring to preserve the lighter areas.  I have quite
a heavy hand when coloring and tend to let my darks take over, so I
was being very cautious!

I was pleased with how these little chicks looked!  So springy and
playful.  I chose my background paper and cut it down to size.
I also used a banner die and die cut it out of white card stock.  I added
adhesive-backed foam letters for my sentiment, added a bit of
shading with a marker and added a few embellishments.

I put my card together adding the background paper to the card base
first, then adding the colored panel with foam tape.  I used tiny flowers
and tiny gems for embellishments.  And that finished my card project!

I hope you've enjoyed this spring themed tutorial!  So cute and
not hard to make at all!
