Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well and gearing up for
spring! Today I'll show you how I made this adorable card using
products from
Gil is so adorable with his little garden! Let me show you how I
made my shaker card! I first printed out my design. I placed Gil on
a piece of the digital paper. And I printed out just a plain piece
of the green paper for grass at the bottom of the shaker. Then I
printed it out on plain white card stock.
I die cut the grass but actually ended up using a different die, as I
thought this one was too tall and covered up too much. I trimmed down the
panel with Gil on it and I die cut a frame from yellow card stock for my shaker.
Next was the coloring.
I used 3-color blends for most of the image. This image was very
easy to color and not fussy at all.
To put my card together, I made the pale yellow card stock frame and
used the same card stock for the card base. I die cut another piece of
the green paper using a different grass die - one that wasn't so tall. I
adhered a piece of acetate behind the frame. I adhered the grass to
the bottom of the front of the colored panel after I ink-blended several
shades of green across the bottom before adhering and then I trimmed
the colored panel to fit under the frame. I sprinkled shaker fill on top
of my colored image and then placed the frame with the acetate and
foam tape on the back. That then allowed me to adhere the shaker
panel as a whole to the front of the card. I also used holographic peels-offs
on the frame. I used a sentiment strip that had been foiled and in
my stash and I added white hearts to finish that off. And
that completed my card!
