Crazy 4 Cocoa. Although there have been some lovely days recently
that have been in the 60's...we have had some brutally cold days
recently as well. I love to be in my studio with a hot cup of cocoa!
I have paired my Crazy 4 Cocoa set with Papers from Brutus Monroe:
Paper Hearts Paper Collection and White Wash card stock.
Let me show you how I made my card!
I first stamped my images that I was planning on using. I stamped
them with Raven Detail Ink onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth.
I wanted to use my Zig markers for coloring my images.
Since we are on the road to spring, I wanted to use colors that were a little
less wintery!
I took my palette from the Paper Hearts Collection I was using.
Zig Clean Color Clear Marker colors:
Tea Rose, Light Carmine
Light Blue, Turquoise Green
Beige
Brick Beige, Mid-Brown
Blender Brush
I kept the coloring fairly simple. I laid in the light color,
then the darker color and blended with the blender brush.
When the coloring was dry, I die cut my images with the
coordinating dies.
I had decided which patterned paper I was going to use from the
Paper Hearts Collection. Using a heart die, I cut a fairly big heart
from this paper. The die set also includes a small heart, so I die
cut 3 of those as well.
I die cut my stamped sentiment as well with a banner die from my
stash. I made an A2 size top folding White Wash card base and took a
piece of turquoise card stock and cut it to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" which
I embossed with a dotted embossing folder and adhered that to
the base of my card.
I adhered my heart die cut to the left of the card center, trimming off the
overhang. I backed my sentiment on a scrap of coral card stock. I
colored the die cut hearts with the Light Carmine.
I adhered my cup of cocoa, marshmallows and die cut hearts with foam
tape. I adhered my sentiment flat with liquid adhesive.
I added a few tiny white heart embellishments and my card
was finished!
