You Hold The Power...

Hello everyone!  I hope you've had a great week with plenty of crafty projects getting done!  This week I am featuring a card I made using an
AALL & CREATE stamp set:  Curiosities

I love this stamp set.  It's has very unique images that can be used in so many different ways.  I chose to work with hand holding the heart on a string.  I started by choosing my background paper which was from DCWV Zodiac paper pad.  I cut it to 4" x 5 1/4" placing the main star where I needed it to be.  On Neenah 80lb Classic Crest solar white card stock I stamped my image to be colored.  I also stamped my background paper with just the string and heart part of the stamp and also my sentiment.  I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink for this.

At this point I filled in the heart with Lavender Stickles and also dotted the background using a toothpick.  I then colored the hand using Copic markers.  I used E51, E11 and BV00 for the hand and RV000 and RV02 for the nails.  I extended the arm when coloring as it wasn't long enough for me to place it where I wanted.  After the coloring I used a Copic-friendly black fine line marker and outlined that extension.

When I fussy cut the hand image, I cut off the string part knowing that I would be lining up the image with the string that was printed on the background paper.
I adhered my panel to an A2 size card base that was covered with a piece of specialty paper.  I popped up the hand on foam tape after measuring and cutting off the excess.
I added more sparkle with Star Dust Stickles and a Nuvo shimmer pen.
And that finished my card!

I hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial!
