Sunbathing with Winnie ft. Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is getting beach weather - that means
plenty of sunshine!  Today I'm sharing a project using products from

I love working with digital stamps - no masking, lots of images (as in
the case of the sentiments-WOW) and making any image the size you need!
Let me show you how I made my card!
I first composed Winnie onto my background.  And then I chose my
sentiment and placed it away from the scene as I wanted to die cut it.
then I printed everything out onto white card stock.

To bring more interest to the card I used a fancy rectangle die from
my stash and I die cut the printed piece and also die cut a white card
base making sure that the edge of the die was off the paper so I had
an edge that was still together.  There was a lot to color in this image,
so I decided to do some ink blending first.  I used a pale blue ink for
the sky and a light brown (Antique Linen) for the sand.  This helped to
fill in areas softly without having to color.

I started out with the background bits first, saving Winnie til last.

I used muted colors for the background with pops of red in the lighthouse
and buildings.  Eventually I did the sail on the boat as well.

I love a hot pink and orange color combo.  So that's what I used for
Winnie's clothing.  I used a lot of Copic colors.

When the coloring was done I adhered the panel to the front of the
card.  I added white Nuvo Drops to the water marks, I added shimmer pen
to the sand, the trim on Winnie's outfit the bow and flower on her hat, the
butterfly and her lemonade.  I finished with adding some tiny sea shells
around the bottom. (I get these on Amazon in the Nail Art section).  I added
the sentiment after coloring it with a coordinating color and I went around
the edge of it with a copper ink pad.  I popped it up on foam tape.  And
that finished my card!

I hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial with Winnie at the
