Hello everyone!  Happy fall!  The leaves are slowly starting to change in
my part of the world.  How about yours?  Are you welcoming cooler weather?
Today I am bringing you a beautiful and versatile design from:
I love this digistamp set.  It's so pretty and fall-like.  Let me show you
how I made my slimline card!
I composed my design in my computer.  I actually placed the design twice -
side by side to make the design.  And then dropped in the sentiment.  I printed
it out onto Altenew 140lb Watercolor Paper.
I decided to use Prima Marketing Watercolor Confections in Terrain.  This
palette really has a fall feel to it and I love the colors.
I painted the background of the lower half in Maple.  My initial plan
was to paint the upper half as well, but when I was finished with the
lower half I decided to wait and see if that was what I really wanted
to do.
I painted the berries on the top and bottom with Blue Shadow.
Since the design is a mirror image, I wanted to visually break that
up and achieved that by alternating my colors.  I used the Sassafras,
Sourwood, Fern, Vine Leaf and Purple Smoke Tree for colors.
I was please at how this came out.  I wasn't too fussy about the
painting and I didn't shade everything - only some of the elements.
For the spruce branches I used my dot card from Iuile Watercolors
and chose the Gold Finger to paint the center vein of each.
This gave the design a bit of sparkle.  I also splattered the top
portion of the panel only with the Gold Finger.
For my last bit of embellishment I used gold peel-offs from Love From Lizi
along the lines above and below the sentiment.
I cut a card base from Martini card stock from Brutus Monroe - it's a
gorgeous fall color.  I adhered my panel to the card base and
my card was done!
I hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial.  I love making fall cards and
they one came out so colorful!  Find this digital stamp set and many others at
